Mayday, Mayday! I didn’t forget!

It’s me again, your procrastinating blogger person. Maybe I should make one of my goals to actually set goals. Something something.. yeah. And yes, I know it’s not May Day. Lame jokes, anyone? OoOh look, a GIF!

You better have pronounced that juh-if. Not guh-if. It’s like the peanut butter, people. Speaking of which, random fact about me: I strongly dislike peanut butter. Enough of that though, the real reason I’m here is those goals I told myself I’d set every month.

//That GIF is really distracting and I love the colors

These things were my April Goals:

  1. Advance in the Civil Air Patrol. Whether this is finishing my CyberPatriot Curriculum, PT, Testing, SDAs, Conference Planning, or CDTA, or even something else. Keep going.
  2. Be organized. Take care of stuff. Mail, laundry, the whole nine yards.
  3. Move. Like… physically. Don’t be a potato. I’m not a potato. Potatoes can’t ride bikes.

I’d say I met all of these goals. CDTA is coming together finally, the conference hasn’t killed me yet, and I’m communicating with people I don’t know on a daily basis. I’m pretty organized; my we-all-know-the-chair-24919732email inboxes are constantly kept up with… but my laundry is a different story. The word “chairdrobe” is an accurate representation of how my organization goal went. But hey… We all know the chair, right? And I did move. Somewhere mid-April I got a weird motivational phase, and for about two weeks I worked out and kept at it. It’s become a little more irregular now, but I still am. I’d just like to say how much my shins hurt the first few days. Holy cow. I suppose I’m glad I’m moving now, so i don’t have to feel that when I am forced to move again.

We’re exactly a third of the way through 2017, so let’s take a look at my 2017 Goals.

  1. Love myself and be happy. Do things because they’ll make me happy. I’d say this one’s coming along. I’m at the point where I like my body, I think.
  2. Go to college and study where and what I want. OOOOhh this one’s starting to come together so well.
  3. Achieve at least C/Lt Col in the Civil Air Patrol. We’re getting there.
  4. Learn to stay calm and manage emotions, as well as being able to express these to others. (This one may not make sense to you as the reader, but it does to me. I’ve already started working on it!) Kind of maybe sort of
  5. Learn something new. Whether this is learning a new language, something about computers, anything. I did Duolingo for a few weeks and learned a limited amount of Russian. I’ve also learned some stuff about cryptography thanks to CDTA. There is so much more to learn.
  6. Make money. Save money. (Already working on the saving money! #AdventureFund) This isn’t going too badly… but having to pay for the conference I’m planning was kinda ugh.
  7. Stay hydrated. All year. This has been up and down… *glances at the pineapple juice on my nightstand*
  8. Read my whole James Patterson series. Just started book 12 WHAT’S UP
  9. Travel. This one’s happening super soon.
  10. Write more. (Whether this is blogging, letters, cards, journaling, it’s going to happen!) I’m still doing these goal things, somehow. And posts in between. And I journaled a little.

I guess 2017 isn’t going too badly, if you strictly look at the goals. It’s a nice outlook, and Image result for april and tajiriI’m super glad that I’ve been half keeping up with the monthly ones too.

Oh… Speaking of months.. and April… April  the Giraffe had her calf! Meet baby Tajiri. He’s a super cute baby boy giraffe. Shout-out to Animal Adventure Park for this adorable photo of April and baby g. April’s caregiver Allysa, named baby g Tajiri after “Allysa’s Choice” won the naming contest. “Tajiri” means hope in Swahili, and I think that’s just the cutest thing. It’s a lovely name.

I’m going to quickly set some May goals so I can get to bed.

  1. Start the process to get my Dutch driver’s license
  2. Be calm
  3. Be organized
  4. BE HAPPY
  5. Explore.

The month of May is bringing a lot of new adventures, and I just can’t wait.

Follow your dreams. Always.

Sometimes life happens, and goals change.

I spent March waiting for April… and yes, I mean that giraffe that everyone’s so hype about. I’ve spent over a month watching April, the pregnant giraffe, and her boi Oliver at the Animal Adventure Park via Livestream.  April GiraffeMy brother is convinced she’s just “trolling” us and she’s really just a fat giraffe. One day soon though… hopefully… we’ll get to see a baby giraffe. If you look at the picture on the right, that’s April. The photo was in this article). Those “things” on their heads are called ossicones.

But that can’t be everything I did in March, right? Well, not really. I set some goals and stuff. I achieved some of those goals. I biked more, I accomplished more, and I was a little more organized. I did a lot of laundry, and I ran the sweeper. I’d say March was successful.

I’d also like to introduce the newest member of my georgefamily, George. George was 8 weeks old when we adopted him. He’s a sweet little bunny, that looks like he’s wearing pants, likes to find trouble, and loves to cuddle. We named him George because of the Looney Toons, when the Abominable Snowman has Daffy Duck and squeezes him… and names him George. We found it appropriate because we wanted a cuddly animal. His hobbies include jumping and eating snacks.

Oh, and back to the goals real quick! I’m on Book 8 of the James Patterson series. My 2017 Goals are still dragging along.

As for the April Goals go, well… Sometimes life happens, family emergencies happen, goals don’t get posted, and you don’t have a lot of time. All this aside, I am setting a couple of goals for April (the month, not the giraffe. My goal for that giraffe is for her to finally have that baby).

There’s not a lot, but April Goals:

So like, yeah. Super well structured blog post from me. In February, Wallpaper.pngI closed off my post with the quote “be somebody nobody thought you could be”.  A Reddit user, u/thatniceguy_, designed this for me, to use as my phone background. I love it so much. The road, the sky, everything about it is brilliant. Even the font. The “B” is so… happy. So yeah, r/RandomKindness is an amazing place, and I’m so genuinely happy with this wallpaper. If you have any interest in doing something nice for someone, I’d highly recommend the Subreddit, you really have no idea how much a small gesture, like a wallpaper, could mean to someone.

I’ve had a headache for about a week now, but I’m hanging on. Hopefully I’ll feel better soon, and hopefully April calms down. I’m going to a day of music thing tomorrow, where I get to play music with a bunch of musicians from around the Province. It’ll be nice. I’m kind of excited for it, but also super nervous. I don’t know what to expect, and that always gets to me. I always overthink, but it will be okay. I’m going to have an amazing time.

Keep on being kind to one another.
