Eight consecutive hours. Okay- maybe I was more or less forced to sit down and eat half of a 6″ sub, but still. Lots of painting today! I’ll start with the introduction you guys didn’t get yet.
On October 31st, we got the keys to our house here in the Netherlands. Since yesterday- November 1st, we’ve been spending the whole day in the new house cleaning and doing other things. Shampooing the carpets, dusting, etc. Today was my turn to do a huge project- I painted my brother’s room. I had fun with it… as you can maybe tell by the pictures. The top left picture has the letters “SBAL” very subtly painted on to the wall which stands for, you guessed it, She Became a Lion. Then I painted an “E” with my hand print, and got a little bit of paint on my legs… Yes, I actually did paint the walls. I actually accidentally painted a horse on the wall… purely accidental of course.
There was also a hella cool double rainbow. We dropped everything we were doing and took like 6000 pictures.
Lastly is my new bedroom. Obviously it is far from finished, but it’s progress. I built the bed and moved the desk (which hurt like heck, I had to get under it to lift it back on the legs), as well as some little things like moving the nightstands up and running power cords places. Yay power strips and extension cords!
I love the flower design on my wall by my bed, and I’m really excited to spend some time learning guitar. The previous owner left my brother some toys and games and she left me a guitar. It was pretty awesome to walk up to my future room and see a guitar sitting there.
Well, I’ll post more tomorrow. I’m going to try and get some sleep. Or… maybe listen to the final game of the World Series. Cubs are already up one. *grumble*
